Ingridients of  Peach Pie Homemade :

  • pounds fresh freestone peaches, peeled and sliced (3)
  • cup white sugar, divided (1)
  • tiny pinch salt (1)
  • cup all-purpose flour (1/4)
  • tablespoon cornstarch (1)
  • teaspoon lemon juice (1)
  • pinch cayenne pepper  (1)
  • pinch ground cinnamon (1)
  • pastry for a 10-inch double crust pie (1)
  • tablespoon butter, cut into tiny pieces (1 ½)
  • tablespoon heavy whipping cream, or to taste (1)
  • tablespoon white sugar, or to taste (1)

Method of Making Peach Pie Homemade :

  1. Preheat stove to 350°F (175°C). 
  2. Mix peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt together in a bowl. Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Strain collected juices into a pan and return stressed peaches to bowl. 
  3. Heat juices in pan to the point of boiling; diminish warmth to medium-high, and cook until blend thickens to a syrup, 5 to 10 minutes. 
  4. Then Whisk 1/2 cup sugar and flour and cornstarch together in a bowl. Mix lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon into peaches; add flour blend and throw to cover. Pour peach syrup over peach blend and mix. 
  5. Turn out a large portion of the baked good to fit a 10-inch pie plate. Spot base hull in pie plate. Empty peach filling into pie shell, tap pie plate against a surface to settle filling, and spot with spread. 
  6. Fold remaining outside layer into a 11-inch circle and cut into 1-inch strips utilizing a paring blade or baked good wheel. 
  7. Lay 5 portions of pie outside layer over the head of the pie. Weave remaining cake mixture strips through to shape a grid top.
