Kung Pao Chicken Recipe |
Ingredients of Kung Pao Chicken:
- 500 grm chicken breast fillet (diced)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 lime (squeezed and take the water)
- Cooking wine / ang ciu 1 tablespoon
- Ground pepper ½ teaspoon
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Dry red chilies 5 pieces (sliced)
- 1 paprika (sliced)
- Cashews or peanuts (roasted)
- Garlic 3 grains (finely sliced)
Ingredients for the sauce:
- 1 ½ tablespoon cornstarch
- Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Cooking wine / ang ciu 1 tablespoon
- Honey 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- 200 ml water
How to Make Kung Pao Chicken:
- Cover the chicken with soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, ground pepper and cooking wine then put in the refrigerator, let stand for half an hour so that it is absorbed
- The chicken is then fried briefly until it changes color then removed and set aside
- Next, saute the garlic along with the red chilies and paprika, saute until it smells good
- Saute then add sesame oil, oyster sauce, cooking wine, honey, vinegar, chilli powder, sugar and water then stir
- Add the meizena flour solution to cooking, stir again and cook for a while
- Put the fried chicken and cashews into the dish, stir until evenly distributed and cook until the sauce thickens
- Remove the kung pao chicken dish and serve
